Nick graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and has previously worked for a leadership development and organizational management consulting firm, before following a call into full-time vocational ministry. He has served on staff with Young Life, Passion Conferences, and most recently Passion City Church in Atlanta, GA leading and developing the college ministry. He attended Dallas Theological Seminary for a Masters in Christian Leadership, and is highly passionate about discipleship and the scriptures.
On an off-day you may find him outdoors somewhere with his black Labrador Retriever, Brooks, on the lake, playing basketball, watching Texas Longhorn sports, the San Antonio Spurs, or enjoying the delicious food and music in his favorite city of Austin, Texas.
He spent his formative years as a missionary kid in outer Mongolia and has spent nearly half of his life outside of the US. He met his wife, Lisa, in Wisconsin and they have been in Texas for over 5 years. He is an audio engineer/producer when he isn’t at church and sometimes when he is. Christy grew up in a small East Texas community of about 150 people, surrounded by open land, cattle, and horses. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Education and moved to Marble Falls, where she taught for five years.
The Lord led Christy to Austin where she joined the Global Outreach Ministry at Hill Country Bible Church. Her passion for cultures, people, and Jesus soon collided as she had the opportunity to join CRU’s campus ministry team in Athens, Greece. After serving overseas, she found her way back to Austin where she met and married her adventurous, nature-wandering, music-loving and fitness enthusiast husband, Miles. They have one son, Maverick, and a little girl on the way. They have been members of The Well for a little over two years.
